Redemptorists: Guardians of the Icon

Since 1866, the Redemptorists have spread devotion to Mary under the icon and title of Mother of Perpetual Help. In that year Pope Pius IX granted permission to move the icon to the Redemptorist Church of Sant’Alfonso in Rome. The pope also told the Redemptorists to “make her known throughout the world.”

The Redemptorists/Denver Province, Inc., is a Not-for-Profit corporation, organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes as set forth in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Contributions made to The Redemptorists are deductible as charitable contributions for federal income, estate, and gift tax purposes.  Our federal EIN is 36-6051330.
